Surprising Animal Behaviors
Which unusual behavior do sea otters exhibit while they are sleeping in the water to prevent themselves from drifting away?
Correct
Sea otters are the ultimate buddies! They hold paws while sleeping to create a raft, ensuring they do not float off into the big blue yonder during a nap. Anchoring to the floor with tails is physically impossible since their tails are not hooks, and kelp is certainly comfy but not the primary method for staying together as a group. As for sticky substances, nature did not equip them with built-in glue, so they rely on their adorable hand-holding skills instead!
