If you pull out your compass and march straight north from there, you will travel through the flat plains of the Midwest and eventually breeze right into Canada. Mexico is inconveniently located to the south, so walking that way would be quite a mistake. Russia is across the globe, and Cuba is in the wrong direction entirely.
