Unusual Geography and Earth Science
If you started digging a hole straight through the center of the Earth from a beach in Spain, where would you most likely end up surfacing on the other side?
Correct
Spinning the globe around reveals that Spain is almost perfectly antipodal to the vast blue expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Getting soaked in the deep sea is much more probable than hitting solid land. New Zealand is actually the opposite of parts of Spain, but only if you are very specific about the coordinates, whereas the massive Pacific hit is the standard result. Antarctica is way too far south for a direct tunnel passage, and Brazil is just chilling in a completely different corner of the map, nowhere near our imaginary exit point.
